    Laws - View Law: FIGHTING AND ASSAULT

    An assault is committed any time a person knowingly causes physical injury to another person. It is also any time that someone may feel physically threatened or when someone touches someone else to provoke or insult them. (A.R.S. § 13-1203).

    Sometimes assault is classified as a misdemeanor. Aggravated assault is a felony. It is important to know this and to realize that fighting can be illegal. If you are involved in a fight, you could also be charged with disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace.

    my friend is 16 and is living with a guardian appointed by her mother's request. She has been informed by her caregiver that the only reason she lets her live with her is for the welfare check she receives. She is not allowed to use the phone or go out ever. She has been beaten for no reason. Is there any way she can live with me and my mom legally?

    my boyfreinds dad and his nephew approaced my and my friends and knocked one out. Then 5 mins later we caught up to them and my bigger homie was fighting with the newphew but a homie threw 2 rocks and broke the passengers window and the back taillight. we fled the scene while they called police. The police came to my house and told my mom that if they don't find me in a week that their going to put a out a warant for my arrest and come pick me up. They said that their going to get me for agrevated assault.I'm probably going to take the rap for it. Will i go to jail, for how long? if not what?
