    Laws - View Law: SEATBELTS

The law says that everyone in the front seat of a vehicle has to wear a seat belt. Sometimes a seat belt is called a vehicle restraint. It is the driver’s responsibility to make sure that any passenger in the front seat under the age of sixteen uses the vehicle restraint. (ARS 28-909)

    This includes the following:

    • Have the lap and shoulder belt properly adjusted and fastened while the vehicle is in motion.
    • If only a lap belt is installed where the occupant is sitting, have the lap belt properly adjusted and fastened while the vehicle is in motion.

As most of you know my friend got killed on impact in the passengers seat of an Izuzu Trooper (one of the most dangerous cars)her name was Peri Laguna. She was only 15 years old and she was in the car with a boy that wasnt even eligible to drive. She put her life in danger and wasn't aware of it and now we don't have Peri by our side."I'f only she had her seat belt on." with that one little thing Peri would still be with us today. And I want everyone to know that even though it might not be "cool" to wear a seat belt getting killed isn't cool either. R.I.P Peri We Love You <3! 12:29:88-7:3:03

I loved Peri Laguna so much....she was one of my close friends. She died because she wasnt wearing her seat belt..and it really makes me angry to hear people say that wearing a seat belt shouldnt be a law. If Peri was wearing her seat belt she would still be here today, mabye by making it a law more peoples lives will be saved, like Peri's could have been. No body understands, until something like the loss of a loved one happens to you. So to say that that it shouldnt be a law is ingnorance, save peoples lives. It hurts to lose someone and i never want to again, maybe if this is a law you c
