There is no set age for the Bill of Rights or the Constitution to protect a citizen of the United States. The Bill of Rights is a piece of the Constitution which includes the first ten amendments. A person’s right to speech, assembly, religion, protection against illegal searches, and due process under the law are among the rights protected. Generally minors, or people under 18 years old, have “fewer rights”, but they are still protected under the Constitution. For more information on the Constitution and Bill of Rights visit the National Archives website.
