Question:

Are there any laws prohibiting reserving and paying for a hotel unaccompanied while you are under 18?

Answer:

There are no laws that mandate minimum age requirements at hotels. Hotels are free to set minimums at their own discretion; however, in order to hold someone responsible for any damages, almost all hotels require someone over the age of 18 to reserve, check-in, and stay in a hotel room.
