Question: Are Helmets required for jet skis?? Or will they be soon?

Answer:

Jet skis are classified as personal watercraft under Arizona Law. (A.R.S. § 5-350(H)) Required safety equipment for personal watercraft include an approved "wearable perosonal flotation device" and a cutoff switch safety lanyard. (A.R.S. § 5-350) Although there is no mention of a helmet requirement, there is a requirement to operate the jetski in a safe manner.

In florida the only laws to drive a jetski and all boats. Is that you are 14 and have a boaters license. For those who don't have one, be supervised by someone 18 years of age with a license or have someone 21 years of age.

If you feel unsafe on jet skies, go ahead and put a helmet, but why do you need law to enforce helmets?
