I'm in eighth grade and I want to be a software lawyer and would love to go to Stanford, though I don't know how you become a software lawyer. What kinds of classes should I take in college and high school to become one?

I'm a law student and it doesn't really matter what you major in. There are students in my class who have Elementary Education degrees, Biology degrees, and mine is in Psychology. I wouldn't suggest majoring in pre-law, just in case you decide you want to do something different after college.

Continued... I was a Political Science (pre-law) major in college. After your 4 yrs are up and u have graduated u can begin thinking more about what type of lawyer you would like to be. There are also other good majors that can help with becoming a lawyer. Like, Criminal Justice, English, Sociology, and so on. Take your time guys. Think it out. Get into a good four year college first. Focus on your major and then start thinking about the type of law you want to practice more. Work hard! Good luck I advise you 2 go to your local book store and look at college majors and types of lawye

Hi guys, This is Laura from Los Angeles. I am about to be a freshman in law school. There are soo many different types of lawyers and law practices. For example there is civil and criminal law in which you can be a defense attorney or a prosecutor it just depends. Someone asked about the more corporate side and there are many different sides of corporate law. Like, Tax lawyers would deal with some corporate stuff. However, you guys should start out by choosing majors for undergraduate school. You have to be an undergrad b-4 you go 2 law school. I was a Political Science (pre-law) major.
