Question: Are black taillight covers illegal in Arizona?

Answer:

Only red tail lights are allowed in Arizona See ARS 28-925

Tail lamps -- A motor vehicle shall have at least one tail lamp mounted on the rear. The tail lamp shall emit a red light plainly visible from a distance of five hundred feet to the rear.

you can have blacked out tail lights as long as you can see te red light from 500 feet away

Yeah!! Conversion of blue lights to exterior of vehicle (except on off road vehicles) is illegal and my be a charge of impersonation of law enforcement!!!!
