No. The reason the government doesn't want thirteen year olds to work, is because most are not mature enough. Thirteen year olds don't have the responsibility or education to actually work. There are many jobs for thirteen year olds; such as mowing lawns, babysitting, or newspaper delivery. You wouldn't see a thirteen year old (who probably can't even use correct grammar) doing brain surgery or even working in restaurants. There is such a thing as "insurance," and thirteen year olds are under age.

I hear everyone man why can't us 13 year olds get a freaking job. we want jobs so we can waste it on us and do what we want while showing how responsiable we can be. i want something my ma always tells me to get a job and she tells me to get a job i have to EXPLAIN to her that im 13 and cant get a job cuz im'too young'. if they havnt notice some 14 year old probably just turned 14 DUH!
