We are very capable of things even if they had us wash dishes, clean up tables for a little money we need money just like everyone else.I would at this age LOVE to have a job washing tables and dishes just for at least some money more than I started out with.I think you should think about letting certian 13 year olds have small just helping out jobs. I know for me it would make me more responsible and care more about what I buy because I bought it with my own money.

I am 14 yet i cant find a job. There so many alternatives like cutting grass,shoveling snow, doing odd chores,raking leaves,etc. My opinon is that they should hire 13 year olds during summer break. We havenothing to do except making big holes in our parents wallet.
