Question: What if my parents don't want me to be emancipated?

Answer: If your parents or guardian object the court may send all of you to mediation where you may work out a solution. If you don’t reach an agreement the judge will decide whether to emancipate you or not based on what is in your best interests.

I am 15 and my mom constanty rags on me. She accuses me of many things that are not even true in my case. She calls me a liar, when she lies to me more, she calls me a slut, when I do absolutely nothing, and she hates me and my dad, though I have three older siblings who are for the most part on her better side. My mom has recently begun to slap me and hurt me for various reason and I don't want her to get in trouble. I do not know what to do and I really want to move out. I have friends whose familys have offered housing for me when I am 17. I can wait that long but would I get in trouble?

I live with my mom in California. I have no where else to go but to my best friend's house. I can't go to my boyfriend's house, cause if his parents knew the way that my mom treats me, they would call CPS and never let me see him ever again. Anyways, my mom treats me badly. She acts like she's five years old and she always blames her problems and failures on me. She makes me feel like a big mistake. She never takes me seriously for anything. I have one question. What if you go through all that and the court STILL rules in your parents favor, no matter what? Is there something I can do?
