Question: If an emancipated minor is arrested and incarcerated would it be in juvenile detention or the adult jail.

Answer: Where the emancipated minor would be incarcerated depends on the crime committed.  The law does not state "under 18 and not emancipated" - just "persons under 18 years of age." (A.R.S. § 13-501).  In other words, if a minor is convicted of the charges contained in A.R.S. § 13-501 while being tried as an adult, the minor will be incarcerated in the corresponding adult facility (adult jail). But, if the person under 18 is being tried as a minor, then incarceration will occur in the appropriate juvenile detention facility.
