Question: What is the curfew in Gilbert, AZ for teens 16 and older?

Answer:

Each city and town in Arizona has specific ordinances (or laws) about the curfew in their city.  That means that the curfew can be much different in each Arizona city.

Gilbert's curfew ordinance says the curfew for children under 16 is between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m..  For children 16 and 17 years of age, the curfew is 12 a.m. (midnight) to 5 a.m.

Of course, there are also a few exceptions if you are: married and over 16 years of age;  traveling to or from employment; involved in an emergency situation; accompanied by his/her parent or guardian or in the military.

For more information about this law, contact the Gilbert Police Department Crime Prevention Unit at (480) 503-6500.

Just because the curfew is 5AM doesn't mean you can't go out onto your driveway and put stuff out. Besides, under 16 you should have a parent with you when doing a garage sale.. and if you can be out past curfew if you're with a parent. :)
