Question: Does my employer have to give me a written contract?

Answer: Most employers do not have to give you a written contract. Many employment contracts are oral.

I was given a written report at work,my boss told me to sign it.I thought i was suppose to,so i signed it.They told they were giving me a leave from work but they never called me back to work .Now will this written report effect me in any way when i apply for a job? Can i use this job as a refference?
