Question: Do I need a marriage license? Why can't we just say our vows to each other?

Answer: Marriage is also a legal contract between a man and a woman for life. State law creates both the relationship and the consequences of divorce or other marital problems. You apply for the license at the clerk of the superior court in any Arizona county (ARS ยง25-121).

As long as you aren't minors, you don't need a marriage license. You can live together all your lives, have s*x, children, the whole shabang. There is no law preventing it. If you don't feel you need a piece of paper to prove your love, then you don't need one.
