Question: Someone put pictures of kids having sex on the net that I downloaded to my computer. Is that a crime?

Answer:

Yes. A person commits sexual exploitation of a minor by knowingly possessing any visual depiction in which a minor is engaged in exploitative exhibition or other sexual conduct (or by duplicating, electronically transmitting, or exchanging the depiction) (ARS §13-3553). It is a felony.

That's why I live in Canada where justice actually resembles some form of justice to an extent.

I though that there was a Law And Order episode where a 12-year old boy gets turned in by a friend for having pictures of a 9-year old boy naked. Olivia tells his mother that if they charge him as an adult he would be looking at 30 years. The mother may also face charges because they were mailed those sick photos and she wouldn't turn them in. The boy gets convicted and sentenced to 25 years. But the mother confesses that she took the photos and the boy's sentence gets overturned and the mother goes to jail. Wasn't there an episode like this?
