Question: What could happen if I lied on an employment application and said I was 18. Because a lot of jobs you have to be 18. ie. data entry

Answer:

If an employer determines an employee has lied about his/her age on an employment application, under most circumstances the employee may be fired for doing so. Some employment applications may cause a lot of problems for a liar. For example, if a person is applying to a police agency or governmental agency, lying may constitute a crime if you have sworn "under penalty of perjury" that the statements in the application are true and correct.
