Question: My brother-in-law's former girlfriend was arrested for attempted murder. How long will she be in jail?

Answer:

Before she receives a sentence, the court must determine whether or not she is guilty, and then her sentence will be dependent upon the facts of her case.  For general information on the penalty for attempted murder, see answer to question #613.  Please let us know if you have any further quesitons.
