Question: I committed a violent felony when I was 14, now I am 20 and I am wondering if and how I can get my juvenile felony expunged so I can have my rights restored.(voting,firearms,etc)
Answer: In Arizona, it is not possible to have a record (juvenile or adult) expunged or erased permanently. Simply stated, there will always be a record of the conviction somewhere. If you were charged in juvenile court, your record is not available to the public, however, if you were charged as an adult your file is available to the public. You may petition the court to restore your constitutional rights, but a judge may refuse to grant your request to possess firearms if you committed a violent offense. You may obtain forms to submit for restoration of your rights at the Superior Court library which has a self help desk.

They are bad decisions, not mistakes. Mistakes you can fix, bad decisions stick with you for life. As well, somewhere, a victim always pays for your decisions.
