Question:

Is there a difference between consumption of alcohol and possession of alcohol and if so what is the difference. thank you



Answer:

According to A.R.S 13-105

33. "Possess" means knowingly to have physical possession or otherwise to exercise dominion or control over property.

34. "Possession" means a voluntary act if the defendant knowingly exercised dominion or control over property.

Consumption comes from the ordinary defintion of consume meaning "to to eat or drink up; devour." (defintion from dictionary.com)
