Question: im 15 and got caught with a pack of cigarettes off of school campus. but i was suppose to be on campus. the ticket said nothing about me having cigarettes on school. can the principal do anything about this? and what is the fine for this with a first offense?

Answer: As a general rule, criminal conduct away from school by a  juvenile/student is not subject to disciplinary action by the school administration.  However, in your case, the principal could discipline you for being off campus without permission.  Also, if the principal could reasonably establish that you had the cigarettes while on campus (for example, you were cited for cigarette possession shortly after leaving campus), then the principal could take disciplinary action.

I got caught skipping my sophomore year by cops. I got arrested kind of. But I didnt go to jail. They brought us back to school. I had cigarettes on me but the cops just took them. The school didnt do anything about the cigarettes but I did get 3 days of ISS for skipping. AND I had to go to court which blew .
