Question: What happens when a child grows up in the Juvenile system? What are the rights of this person who is now an adult?

Answer: Many states allow for setting aside (sealing) or destruction of juvenile records. Per Arizona Statutes 8-347 and 8-348, this process may not be automatic. You need to contact the court to do this. Usually there is paperwork to send in and perhaps you may need to appear in court. Please consult the court or an attorney in your state for further assistance.
