Question: What is the curfew and what happens if I'm out past that time?

Answer: Curfew times are different in every city. You need to check with your city offices to find out what curfew times and dates are.

In Phoenix, the curfew is

10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for kids 15 years old and under, 7 days a week

12 a.m. Midnight to 5 a.m. for 16 and 17 year olds every night

If you are out after curfew, this is an incorrigible act and you could be arrested and prosecuted. Sometimes the police call the parents to pick up the kids.

To find out more about curfews, you can check the curfew topic in the laws section.

I don't really care anymore cuz i will be 18 in July, buti think it's stupid because it's just gonna make us wanna disobey it more. Alot of restrictions for teens in America....imagine when i'm officially an adult, i know for a fact that it's gonna be alot harder.

Curfews have been ruled to be unconstitutional by the courts, however you guys are all minors and the constitution doesn't apply. You all have less rights than most illegal aliens. We live in a supposedly great country that treats children like criminals and somehow we are surprised when they don't turn out perfectly. If you treat kids like they are doing something wrong, they are going to say "well, might as well do it anyway since we are being treated as if we are" and thats how it all starts. Gotta love America, home of hypocrisy!

I think Curfew laws are both dumb and helpfull, because they are trying to keep us out of trouble but yet at the same time they try to let us enjoy ourselves with our friends for little while.i dont know i guess if u arent doing aNYTTHING WRONG LIVE WITH IT BUT IF YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL YOU DESERVE TO GET CAUGHT JUST LIVE WITH IT AND YOULL BE FINE BUT if you want to challenge the authority you deserve everything thats coming to u so dont copmplain and youll be allright.

First I'd like to say is the curfew law is for stop minors from vadlizing things destruction ect. which it solves but what about the kind of academic things like sports out side of school, activities, and etc. these problems are not adressed which angers me. Beside the fact that we are (minors) treated worse than illegal aliens. Becuase they have rights first and many other things could be said. Its like we (minors) are not even a part of Country we rigths only when they want to give them ot us (minors)... WHAT'S WITH THAT? I'm only against it just when the person has a perfectly logical reaso
