Question: What is the curfew and what happens if I'm out past that time?

Answer: Curfew times are different in every city. You need to check with your city offices to find out what curfew times and dates are.

In Phoenix, the curfew is

10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for kids 15 years old and under, 7 days a week

 

12 a.m. Midnight to 5 a.m. for 16 and 17 year olds every night

 

If you are out after curfew, this is an incorrigible act and you could be arrested and prosecuted. Sometimes the police call the parents to pick up the kids.

Curfew laws have been found unconstitutional again and again. If you are caught past curfew just say "I'm excersizing my first amendment rights by protesting the curfew law." Michael

I don't really like the curfew law, but I know that it is there to protect me and to keep me out of trouble. You may not like some of the laws that are in this country, but thats how life is, you don't always get what you want, so until you are 18 you just have to deal with curfew and just do your thing and be home by curfew. It's as simple as that.

I, personaly, am inquiring the time for the curfew for Texas around the Dallas/Fort Worth area but yet i ask on the "Speak up" section and have tried MANY ways in typing out the question and still there neglects to be an answer that comes up. well, i think that is dumb because there is so much more to do when it is later at night. That is stupid about the curfews because the "college" kids shouldn't be driving drunk in the first place... so if they would follow the rules then we would be perfectly safe!!!!!! and that is what i think about that!

I totally agree with u. I dont think it is fair that we have to stop everything to come home so we dont have to pay a stupid ticket. Alot of kids work after curfew. Now this whole mall thing vame up where some teens cant go in malls at certain time i mean what are we suppose to do or go i mean hello its wisconsin and its cold most of the time.
