Question: If I get arrested for the curfew, what will happen. Will you get handcuffed?
Answer: As usual with law enforcement, there is not a one-line answer. Everything depends on the specific circumstances within each situation. However, here is a basic answer: If arrested for curfew, a juvenile is usually not handcuffed. The juvenile will receive a citation (will have to appear in court at a later date) and parents will be called to come pick him up. However, if the officer has to transport the juvenile somewhere (home?), the juvenile will most likely be handcuffed. This is a safety issue with the transport situation.

I think that their should not be a curfew for the ages 16 and 17 but teenagers 15-13 should be able to stay up untill midnight. Also I think that it should be the parents decision to let their kids stay out as late and not as late.

Alright, heres the deal. Back in the day, and when I say way back I'm talking 1700's or so. Several groups of people were not included in the constitution, Minors (us), simply because they need an age of General Maturity, that age now stands at 18. Granted everyone matures faster, but it's just a way of judging things. Minors do not have the same rights. Getting back to the point, back in the day women, non white men, and children all had really really sucky rights. Practically none. Womens Suffrage in 1919 gave them the right to vote! Yay for women. maybe we dont want people to be responsible for us... if we wanna stay out until 4 in the morning that should be fine... the last thing we want is to get in trouble for having a good time, if we get in trouble it our problems not ne one elses .. the time wont stop us.. we will do the same thing ne way no matter what time we are caught outside of our homes.

I think your wrong curfew is ok if it is later, some moives let out at 12:00 or later and we walk home because the movie theater is close. I should be able to watch what movie I want and not have to get in trouble GOING HOME.

The problem with curfew is its lack of tolerence, sure as a teenager i think its crap that to hang out with my friends i must be fearful that some cop will stop us, but its not enforced so no one cares. When it is, however, it seems that mr. gung ho police officer is the one that stops you and is just giddy as a school girl to marandize you on the spot its bogus. Why should my rights be different then an adults? Age should not be an issue; if this country was based off of equality then why is it that we aren't viewed the same?
