Question: When is marijuana possession a misdemeanor? What are the consequences?

Answer: In Arizona, possession of less than two pounds of marijuana is a class 6 felony. The Office of the County Attorney may charge a class 6 felony as a misdemeanor at their discretion. See the Youth Laws Section - 'What kids are being arrested for?'

In my case, I've been arrested 3 times. The system is pretty laid back here. I got probbation and can't smoke for 6 mnthz. .... and I nevr even served the 6 mnthz. If I get caught after I turn 18 I wonder if it will be as easy???

In my opion people are to harsh towards marijuana. If someones wants to light a cigarette they are free to do so, i dont believethat the two are any different they both harm us but only one's legal. Sure too much of anything is not good for you, but when used scarcley marijuana is a geat tension tamer, as llong as you dont become dependent.

I think Marijuana should not be illegal, but controled just like alcohol. People who are gonna do it, are gonna do it, no matter what the laws are. I think as long as they smoke it in their own homes or in a controled place( like a bar) and you don't smoke and drive then it would be okay.
