Question: What would happen (step by step) if a cop pulled you over and you had drugs?

Answer: The person with the drugs would be placed under arrest and the drugs would be seized as evidence. The car would be searched. (Depending on situation, the car could be towed, parked and locked, or even seized.) The Officer should then interview the Juvenile caught with the drugs (and possibly anyone else in the car).

Afterwards, the Officer could;

1. ...call a parent or responsible adult to respond to the scene of the stop. From there, the arrested juvenile would be released to their parent. The Juvenile Court would later notify the parent(s) and Juvenile when to appear for trial.

2. ...transport the Juvenile to the Police station. The Officer could then call a parent or responsible adult to respond to the scene of the stop. From there, the arrested juvenile would be released to their parent. The Juvenile Court would later notify the parent(s) and Juvenile when to appear for trial.

3. ...transport the Juvenile to a detention facility where the Juvenile would be incarcerated. It would then be up to the Detention center to contact parent(s). The Juvenile Court would later notify the parent(s) and Juvenile when to appear for trial.
