Question: Do I have to take a breathalyzer test or can I refuse it until I talk to my parents?

Answer: Sorry, but needing to speak with your parents is not a valid excuse for refusing to take a breathalyzer test. You can still ask to speak to your parents first, but the police officer does not have to let you. If you outright refuse to take the test, it will be an automatic one-year revocation of your license. Not only that, many jurisdictions allow police officers to obtain telephonic search warrants. That means they can get a warrant to take a blood sample against your will. There is only one way to avoid all this trouble, Don't drink and drive!

Whoever is anwsering these questions should get a refresher coarse in law. I do belive that only under certain guildlines may you be ordered to take a breath alizer or give blood. It is actually against the law for a minor to be questioned or subjected to police questioning without the consent of the parent. Before you answer these questions, you need to understand the law and how is actually works.

I heard that if you weren't drinking and were requested to take a beathalyzer, and then you refuse to take it, they'll take you to a hospitol and draw blood, but then they find out you weren't drinking, you can then sue and recover damages... I heard that a few years ago.
