Question: In Scottsdale can you be out past curfew with written consent from parents or do they always have to be with you?

Answer: Scottsdale Curfew Law (all 7 days of the week):

15 years and under-10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
16 & 17 years-12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.

You may stay out past curfew but only if :

  • you are with a parent or legal guardian;
  • it is necessary for work, including going to or returning from work (prior permission by parent or guardian is still required);
  • you have any reasonable, legitimate and specific business or activity, with permission by parent or guardian (like going to the store to pick up milk)

All Scottsdale city parks have a curfew of 10:30 pm for all ages. So no one may be in Scottsdale city parks after 10:30 pm.

Since when did the time change for curfew in Scottsdale? When I was 16 and 17 it was 11:00 and no matter what Officer Jerry would come looking for me and arrest me for curfew, it would happen every single time that I was out past 11:00 PM.
