Question: Is it legal for parents to lock their kids out if they don't come home by curfew?

Answer: There is no law in Arizona that authorizes parents to lock their kids out if they do not come home by curfew. BUT, as you know, kids can be prosecuted for breaking the curfew laws.

i also do not have a cerfew, and if your daughter is not respecting that she doesnt have one, its your fault. your child is your responisbility.if they werent taught to respect you and the law, that is a reflection on the parents

First of all, the question you should be asking, is why would your parent be locking you out? That's even more dangerous then breaking curfew. That law definitely doesn't apply in arizona, if it even is a law. Your parents should make sure you're safe, not locking you out, hoping your having a good night sleep in the card board box with the hobo freddy

im from kenya and there is no law here about curfew. i think that it is a really bad idea. i always go out to clubs on friday nights and have a really fun time. i dont see why there should be a law that makes curfews. i think that it should be up to your parents. over here there are actually no laws. you can do whatever you want.i just dont see why you have to have curfew law. i dont know though, maybe it is a good thing

YOU SHOULD BE GREATFUL FOR HAVING THE FREEDOM TO GO AND HAVE MOMENTS OF DIVERSION WITH YOUR PEERS, SOME OF US DIDN'T HAVE THAT. SOME OF US STARTED WORKING AT THE AGE OF EIGHT TO HELP THE FAMILY AND WEREN'T EVEN GIVEN A CHOICE. BELIEVE ME YOUR PARENTS DON'T HAVE TO CATCH UP WITH YOU, YOU HAVE TO CATCH UP TO THEIR WISDOM AND HONOR THEM FOR GIVING YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT LIFE AND LOVE. SO RESPECT THE TIMEFRAME THEY WANT YOU HOME BY BECAUSE THEY WORRY AND WHEN THEY LOCK THE DOOR THEY'RE PROBABLY TRYING TO COMMUNICATE A LEVEL OF TOUGH LOVE. RESPECT YOUR PARENTS BE HUMBLE AND HONOR.
