    Question:

What is the diffenition of causus

Answer: A caucus is a group of people who share something in common. For example, they could be members of the same political party, such as the Senate Republican Caucus or the House Democratic Caucus. This term is used commonly during the presidential elections as it usually describes the gathering of each party's local political activists during the presidential nomination process. The purpose of the caucus system is to decide which presidential candidate is preferred by each state’s party's members whether a democrat, republican, or independent.
