    printer friendly version

Question: My mom and dad has custedy of me and wall i live with my mom but i want to live with my dad but my dad can only see me every other weekend if igo with my dad would i be a runnaway?

Answer: Custody decisions are made in the best interests of the child. For some reason, your parents and the court decided it would be best if you lived with your mom for the majority of the time. The only way this can be modified is if your parents agree to the change and the court approves it. If you feel very strongly about it you should talk to both of your parents and see if the change is possible. They may have very good reasons for keeping the situation the same, so don't be upset if you don't get what you want.
