Question: If you get probation when you are 17 and get a curfew can you be transferred to adult probation so you don't have a curfew?
Answer: No. Curfew laws are made by city governments and most apply to all youth under the age of 18. Just because you might fall under adult probation does not mean that the curfew laws will not apply to you if you are still 17.

I'm graduating from high school early, in which I will be attending college when I am 17, therefore I still have a curfew law when everyone else is out. Well, most people know what is right and wrong, so if you cant go out and not know what is "Bad and Naughty" then maybe you should grow up and not go out until you get a clue. I got in trouble a while back and got a 10:00 cerfew, but i knew the consequences for what i did, and it just punishes kids that dont do anything wrong, b/c if you get in trouble then you pay the price. And there are ways around a cerfew. and if you were haveing problems with your ex then maybe you should of went to the police anyway!

Not only are our current curfew laws unjust, they are also very steriotypical. If ones parent or parents thinks his/her child is responsible enough and or has enough common sence to make the right decision, in any situation, then they should be comfortable with letting them go out and be independent. Isn't that what growing up is?

I think that teenagers period should have a later cerfew or not one at all. Because most teenagers don't do anyhting wrong when they are outside so all it does is waist our time. If our parents say it's ok then it should be with the police.
