Question: What is the curfew and what happens if I'm out past that time?
Answer: Curfew times are different in every city. You need to check with your city offices to find out what curfew times and dates are.
In Phoenix, the curfew is
10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for kids 15 years old and under, 7 days a week
12 a.m. Midnight to 5 a.m. for 16 and 17 year olds every night
If you are out after curfew, this is an incorrigible act and you could be arrested and prosecuted. Sometimes the police call the parents to pick up the kids.

Being 17, I didn't see the point in curfew, and thought it was a just another stupid law. Well, after getting mugged and beat up while skating behind Safeway, I see some sense to the law.

I am not to fond of curfew I think that it should be up to the teebnagers parents of how late they are out as long as they know where their kid will be my daughter who is 16 usually goes cosmic bowling with friends from 10:30 to 2:00am but they are not out there causing any trouble so there is my opinion

I understand what curfew laws are intended to accomplish, but they probably make little or no effect. What it boils down to is the larger the age gap between the person making the laws and the person the rules apply to, the less the author sees the affected party as peers; read: they consider you nothing but a "bunch of stupid kids." That said, the only way to ever change this type of thinking is to act like a mature person. These "omg, curfesw R soo unfair and should be made banned 4ever" type posts do nothing but cast you further into the helpless kids who need to be looked after catagory
