Question: How long does the District Attorney's Office of Arizona have to pick up a file on someone for sexual conduct with a minor?

Answer: Sexual conduct with a minor is either a class 6 or a class 2 felony, depending on the age of the minor (ARS 13-1405). The Arizona Law that covers this is in chapter 14 of the Arizona Criminal Code.

There is no statute of limitations, that is a limit on the amount of time that may pass before charges can't be brought, for a class 2 offense from chapter 14 laws. In other words, the prosecutor may file a charge at any time, no matter how long has passed since the offense, if the offense is a class 2 felony. (See ARS 13-107).

Have we really come this far as a fr
