Question: Can I operate a motorized skateboard at age 14?
Answer: Motorized skateboard use is covered by city laws. In general, city laws require motorized skateboard riders to be at least 14 years old, follow traffic signs and rules and wear a helmet while riding it. See a sample of motorized skateboard laws in the laws section of this website. To be sure, check with your local police department to find out about laws concerning motorized skateboards in your community.

I live in MAssachusetts and nothing is legal. I have a Goped® and my friend and i ride it on the streets of his neighborhood. The cops hate Goped® riders. They will take it away if they see you with one. Nothing is legal in Massachusetees. I also like doing fireworks from PHANTOM FIREWORKS, but they are illegal, and you can get fined up to $700 for using one. Mine goes about 40mph. it is wicked cool. I got it for about $450, too. I also have yamaha TTR-125L. That is awesome , too. I can ride that on my yard because i have 3 acres. My next door neighbor has one , too.

I got pulled over today for riding my Goped®, because they issued a law in October that requires all motor vehicles (gas and electric) to be registerd and used by a licensed person. Seriously, the cop even told me the law was made because the old people that live in the state I live in say that they are too loud and noisy, which makes absolutely no sense. They mow the lawns, the weed wack, they blow snow (LOL) and blow leaves. SO what makes a difference about a Goped®. Granted, the idea about taking the muffler off
