    Question:

Can I operate a motorized skateboard at age 14?

    Answer:

Motorized skateboard use is covered by city laws. In general, city laws require motorized skateboard riders to be at least 14 years old, follow traffic signs and rules and wear a helmet while riding it. See a sample of motorized skateboard laws in the laws section of this website. To be sure, check with your local police department to find out about laws concerning motorized skateboards in your community.

I'M 11 AND I LIVE IN WASHHINGTON Gopeds® ARE LEGAL BUT U HAVE TO WEAR A HELMET IF U ARE UNDER 16 AND DON'T GO OVER 30 MPH. COPS HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO SO THEY ALWAYS WANT TO FIND SOMETHING SO THEY PICK ON US Goped® RIDERS. THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO NEVER GET TO CLOSE TO A COP. MY FRIEND GOT PULLED OVER FOR NOT HAVING HIS HELMET STRAP ON. JUST FOLLOW THE DRIVING RULES ON THE SIDEWALKS AND THE COPS WILL BE COOL.

How we ride today detemines if we can ride tommorow. You kids are too dumb to realize that the cops are mad because you are running from them. 98% of the time being honest with them and you won't get in trouble. BTW, Taking mufflers off your scooters is bad for them, you don't get that much top end, and it is extreamly noisy mod. Remember How we ride today detemines if we can ride tommorow.

Well I have a friend who just turned 13 years old and from his experience, a cop will usually only pull you over if you are disturbing neighbors or not wearing a halmet while riding your Goped®.
