Question: What happens when someone under 18 is caught with a fake ID?

Answer: Under Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) 4-241(e), a person under the legal drinking age who uses a fake ID or uses the ID of another person to get into a bar is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor and will be prosecuted. Also, under A.R.S. 28-3309, anyone who is convicted for using fake ID will have his or her driver's license suspended for 6 months for the first conviction and 12 months for each following conviction. Consult your school or city librarian for help on finding the laws governing this issue in your state.

I dont think its fair for people have to wait till they are 21 to drink. Because they let you do other stuff and supposedly you are an adult. They let you go to the army and let you apply for a job and do adult stuff, but not drink beer illegaly? I hope they chage the law to 18 years old and older. bie!

I think the US should make like Europe and lower the drinking age to 18. 21 is stupid. The government can call you an adult at 18 to take your money etc but you can't have all the benefits that most adults are entitled to? I find it very odd that you guys can join the army at 18 but you can't legaly drink.

I want to add too that the law should be more liberal in the respect that certain ages should be allowed a limit to how much alcohol they can purchase. An eighteen year old can go into a bar but can only order two drinks - fair enough and it increases from there. This is only if they pass the drinking test. The test would also generate revenue for the government as well ($30 test fee). Maybe someone could brainstorm more on this issue.
