Question: Can a student be suspended from school and bus privileges for accidentally lighting a match on the bus? What if the student puts the match out and admits doing it?

On 02/02/04 Will from IL said: I don't think you can really 'accidently' light a match on a bus. Besides, why would you even have matches in your hand on a bus!? I think you should be suspended, but not expelled, for something like that. It's very dangerous!

Because I couldnt prove I didnt do it I got suspended. Later they found out it wasnt me. But I still felt guilty for some reason. Suspension shouldnt be used unless theres nothing else they can do. I mean it would of been diffrent if the kid had set fire to something on the bus. But for what he did about a 2 day ban from the bus at the very most!
