Question: Can a principal or teacher hit you if you do something wrong?
Answer: No, a teacher nor a principal should ever physically punish a child even if they do something wrong. If you or a friend are physically hurt by an adult at school, it is very important that you go to an adult that you trust, your parents, other teachers, or your librarian etc. if this ever happens.

It is wrong to hit a kid for passing a note in class. Come on man! Why is physical abuse the first thing one has to use to demand discipline? There are other ways that are more effective and less degrading and harmful than that! Some claim that it worked with them. They claim that they are the law abiding, teacher respecting, perfect citizens they are today because of a whack of the paddle that they received on the behind. Yeah right! If it was only that easy. What ever happened to threatening children with a failing grade? Threaten them with a trip to the principal's office.

If they want to play by the playground rules, if they're going to act like the same juvenile delinquents they claim to hate, then they're going to face the consequences. Tip for school authorities: don't pull rank using violence unless you can back it up. It doesn't matter if they are allowed to "discipline" you or not but if they do you can hit them back and use the "self-defense" technique as your argument. it says somewhere in the constitution that you have the right to defend yourself so why not?
