    printer friendly version

Question: What are the consequences for getting into a car accident with only a learners permit?

Answer: If you're driving with a licensed adult, the consequences will not be any different than anyone else with a license who is involved in an accident. But, if you're not driving with a licensed driver, then you face a 'driving without a license' ticket and possible fines.

I drove my parents car to pick up a friend because she was drunk and needed to go to a safe place. a car was driving really fast in the middle of the road i was on, so i panicked and swerved into a parked car. I caused 20,000 dollars worth of dmamages and because i am a minor i have to go to court. my advice get a sibling or parent to drive you its worth it

ok. well i was driving a friends car with permission, with only my permit. I got into a parking accident while backing out and i panicked and ran. Later on i found out someone wrote down my friends license plate number so i HAD to take responsibility for it. I don't know whats going to happen but the cop i talked to said i most likely WONT get a hit and run. Does anyone know what is going to happen to me, and if i am going to get my permit taken away???

When I was 17 I let my friend, who only had a permit, drive for a few blocks. Turns out she picks a road that hadn't been salted (it had snowed a few days before). We slid and crashed. I lied to the police about who was driving. I was afraid my license would have been revoked for letting her drive my car. And I didn't want her permit taken away either. I am a bad girl.
