    printer friendly version

Question: How Long can someone go to Jail for having 100 pills of "Ecstasy"?

Answer: It depends on whether the person had the 100 pills of 'ecstasy' for their own possession or to sell them. Usually, the large quantity of 100 pills shows the intent to sell them. In that case, a person may receive 4 years for committing this class 2 felony. However, it is likely the judge will reduce the sentence and maybe even give probation. The judge will look at the persons past criminal record and will also look at how much the drugs are worth being sold on the street.

If the person was not charged only with possessing the drug and not 'possessing for sale', then they will likely receive no jail time.
