Question: What is sexual abuse?
Answer: Sexual Abuse is a term used to describe unwanted sexual contact of a child by an adult or another child. Arizona Law (ARS 13-1401 and 13-1404) defines specific acts which are considered sexual abuse.
The penalties for adults who sexually abuse children are very harsh. Ans the penalties are increased if a child is under 15 years old, and increased even more if the child is 12 and under (ARS 13-604.01).
