Question: Can an adult who was on probation for aggravated assault get more than 15 years for violating probation, auto theft, one count of assault, and one count of aggravated assault?

Answer: Whether or not someone can get more than 15 years for violating probation depends on how the aggravated assault was charged, the conditions of probation, and whether the sentencing is at the same time on the new auto theft, assault, and aggravated assault. Concurrent terms on these charges along with the probation violation could result in more than 15 years.

On 05/07/05 Jamie Cox from PA said: Me and my boyfriend got in a fight and he might be being charged with aggravated assault. Everyone is telling me something different how much jail time if any could he be sentenced to? He is 19 also and has no other record.
