Question: Can minors get pulled over solely for having super tinted windows? What is the legal limit for tinted windows?

    Answer:

In Arizona, anyone can get pulled over for violating the law concerning the tinting of windows. Arizona Law (A.R.S. § 28-959.01) says that any material on the window that lets through less than 33% of the light entering it is illegal.

i think you might have to go back to training classes because the tint law in new york is ... Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark. The windshield and front side windows cannot block more than 30% of the light. Seventy percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window. This law also applies to rear windows unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides. The mirrors must give the driver a full and clear view behind the vehicle. "I think most car's have side mirrors???" :)

So many of these comments are thinks like, "I always do this" with regard to window tint and officer safety. I do not doubt that these comments come from very responsible people. The problem does not rest with this group; it's the criminals who aren't going to roll down their window or who will use window tint to possibly hurt an officer. Laws are not passed to address the behaviors and attitudes of decent, responsible people; they are in place to limit criminals who prey on us all and care only about themselves.

I work in a law firm and I was driving to work going the speed limit, not changing lanes, staying to the right. Until I see a cruiser going the opposite direction as me,then all of a sudden I see the cruiser make an illegal U-turn on the bridge never-the-less with heavy traffic almost causing an accident. Cuts off two citizens just to get behind and give me a summons for having tinted windows. I always put all my windows down so the officer doesn't feel a threat. My only defense is I purchased a new car and because of the tint the hijackers cannot determine how many people are in the car so they
