Question: Can minors get pulled over solely for having super tinted windows? What is the legal limit for tinted windows?

    Answer:

In Arizona, anyone can get pulled over for violating the law concerning the tinting of windows. Arizona Law (A.R.S. § 28-959.01) says that any material on the window that lets through less than 33% of the light entering it is illegal.

I've read comments on this page which demonstrate a lack of knowledge about police work.Other comments just demonstrate a lack of common sense!Maybe this can help regarding the lack of knowledge. First, police don't have quotas. We do however have to demonstrate that we're productive.Should the taxpayers expect anything less?Second, if officers quit every time we encountered a little stress, there wouldn't be any police officers left. But we should expect to be shot?Tint is also a safety issue for night drivers

The only problem I have with these laws is that they should apply not only to the public but to everyone esle including police officers and troopers. I see unmarked troopers on highways in NJ with limo tints on all windows even though the law states that no tints are allowed on the front side windows. These laws were made to provide safety for officers but then we see some law vehicles breaking these laws.

I've read some rude comments from both sides on this forum, police and civilians. I've recently received a ticket from a police officer, and since I have family in law enforcement, i can relate to the safety issues. But, when I got my ticket, I put my windows down, pulled far off the road and kept my hands on my steering wheel. And this guy still gave me a ticket for it when he saw about an inch sticking up on the passengers side. This coincidently happened just before the end of the year. They need to fill their quotas to keep their state funds coming in. So, watch your wallet!
