Speak Up! - View Question #615

    printer friendly version

Question: What if no one believes that you are being abused by your boyfriend.

Answer: If you need immediate help, contact the police. Otherwise, you should go to an adult you respect and trust. Tell them what is going on with your boyfriend. Tell your parents or another adult relative. If you do not feel that you can talk to your parents, tell your school counselor or your favorite teacher. You can also call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 11-800-799-7233. Above all, keep telling the adults in your life what is going on until someone listens and helps you.

If he is beating you up, do what Jeremy said "DUMP HIM". If you can call some one for help if that doesn't work either go to a self deffense class try to learn self deffense, just like Jennifer Lopez is going to say in her new movie "ENOUGH", "SELF DEFFENSE IS NOT A CRIME"

If he's beating you, dump him. Don't believe the lie that he "really loves you." If he's willing to hit you now, what will he do when you're married. DUMP HIM!!!
