Question: Did Arizona pass a law where you can't drive until you are 18?
Answer: No, Arizona passed a graduated licensing law. All 15, 16 and 17-year olds applying for a graduated driver license on or after July 18, 2000, are affected by the new law, regardless of when they may have applied for an instruction permit Even holders of instructional permits received before July 18, 2000 must hold the instructional permit for a full five months before they can apply for a graduated license.

perhaps you could pass your eighth grade spelling test as well as your driving test. teens shouldn't drive till 18; there is no need for it.

I belive teens should get their permit at 15,not 15 and 7 months, so they can have atleast a year to pratice driving. Also the driving test for teens should be made harder so that they can see if we are really responsible drivers.

I truly believe that a law requiring teens to get their license after they have graduated from high school would eliminate the drop out rate and also give Arizona safer drivers. Teens should be able to get a restricted license for work and school at 16 but not an unrestricted until they have graduated.
