Question: If my foster mom placed a restraining order against my ex-boyfriend, but I no longer live with her and she is no longer my legal guardian, is the restraining order still in effect?

Answer:

There are many types of restraining orders and a lot of factors that regulate them depending on who requested, against whom, who it is protecting, for what reasons, etc.

Restraining orders do have an end date, they do not last forever.

Without more specific information about your  restraining order it is difficult to say for sure.  You can contact the Arizona Children's Law Center at 602-258-3434 x 266 for more specific legal advice.
