Question: Could you get in trouble for stalking someone?
Answer: Stalking is a felony offense. If you are prosecuted as a juvenile, you can be placed on probation or sent to prison until you turn 18. If you are prosecuted as an adult, you can receive either probation or imprisonment. The length of imprisonment depends on which offense you are convicted of. Copies of the 3 related statutes follow this message. They are stalking (ARS 13-2923), aggravated harassment ARS13-2921.01 and harassment (ARS 13-3921).
You should be aware that stalking behavior is considered very dangerous and very serious, and the police will actively pursue any legal means to stop the behavior, including repeated arrests.
