Question: Can someone get in trouble for have sex w/ a person under the set age limit? But i mean by this as (ex. 14 and 14 year old have sex) two people engaging in sex are both underage?

Answer:

Yes. Arizona treats "sexual conduct with a minor" very seriously. If the Minor is under age 15, it is a class 2 felony.

There is an exception for people over 15 but under 19 who are engaging in consensual conduct. That exception does not apply if the Minor is under age 15. The way the law is written, it is possible that both minors under age 15 could be charged with sexual conduct with a minor. Where the parents of a 14-year-old child discover that the child is sexually active with another 14 year old, and where they insist on prosecution, one or both of the kids could be charged with this serious sex offense. (ARS 13-1405 and ARS 13-1407(E))
